The Flying Carriage

His rotating carriages are oversized to bring the observer closer to the recurrent sequences of the tourbillonŽs ingenious mechanisms. The bigger the rotating carriage, the harder it is to make.

Rieber has pushed boundaries with his newest piece. In a wristwatch with a diameter of 34,2 mm the heart of a flying tourbillon beats with a diameter of 17,8 mm. Balance wheels with a diameter of 14,4 mm are normally found in a pocket watch. This is a world record and, in this from, presented in a wristwatch never before achieved.
